WHY HERMA?

Herma means "messenger" or "earthly" in Greek. Food is earth’s messenger to our bodies’ cells.

Food impacts our physiological and biochemical processes. The nutrients and compounds in the foods we consume play a crucial role in influencing our overall health, well-being, and the functioning of various systems within the body. Nutrients in food act as signaling molecules that communicate with our cells, influencing gene expression, metabolic processes, and the release of hormones. For example, certain nutrients may signal the body to produce more energy, regulate blood sugar levels, or support the immune system. Making mindful and informed food choices can contribute to overall health and well-being.
